My group has come up with possible tag lines for my movie, these tag lines will be used on the trailer, poster and magazine front cover, and the tag line has to be very effective as it sort of like sums up the movie in one line.
'Answering to the unknown'
'Running from the inevitable'
'Living the impossible'
'Would you run the risk?'
We've tried to make the tag lines short and snappy as these are most likely to appeal to the audience and is the most eye catching, we have tried not to bore the audience with long, time consuming tag lines. The shorter the tagline the little thought process that has to go into looking at it which is a lot more effective, using a tagline is following the codes and conventions of other magazines as most have included a tag line
Using a tagline is going to be effective in our genre and poster and trailer as according to market research, a tag line is one of the top answers when we asked ' what sort of information would you like to see on a psychological thriller poster ' so we have had to think very carefully about the tag line we are going to use, we shall perhaps do market research on which of the above taglines we should use and which would be most effective for our genre of film.and most are 4-5 words long for example, jumpers tagline is 'anywhere is possible'
