Choosing the right font type for your company logo is not just about recognisability and being able to see it properly, although this is important.
take disney for example. the D at the beginning, clearly does not look like a D, it looks more like a G, and the Y at the end definatly looks like a P, and because there content is aimed at a much younger audience, they're going to grow up with these thoughts in mind which could be bad for the company, just because of their logo.
choosing a font for my logo is also about choosing a font that communicates the right message to my target audience. for example if my film was about something like construction, most people would probably find it more than just a little curious if your company logo had elegant swinging letters. it would have to be big and bulkey, which could be connotations of contrustion, I will have to take things like this into account when deciding my font for my movie trailer.
